When you ask a question, your messages and the replies are saved, along with the time and your approximate country (from the request, not your exact location). I use them to see what people ask and to improve the answers. I don't store your IP address, set cookies or ask you to sign in, so conversations aren't linked to you or to each other.

Conversations are deleted automatically 90 days after their last message. Please don't share sensitive personal details in the chat.

I rely on legitimate interests to do this: running the chat and making it better.

Your messages are sent to OpenAI to generate the replies, stored in a database run by Neon, and the site is hosted by Vercel. Some of these are US companies, so your data may be processed outside the UK under their own safeguards.

Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights count page views and measure performance without cookies. The music player in the desk scene only loads from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com) once you click the speaker.

You can ask me to send you, or delete, anything you wrote in the chat: email [email protected] with roughly when you chatted and what you asked, so I can find it. If you're unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
